Throughout my childhood, I always thought I was just an adrenaline junkie. Whether I was

dancing, performing, or trying something new, I found the rush exhilarating. Years later, the sensation of adrenaline would return. This time, I was leading the St. Olaf Choir onto the stage, awaiting the green light to cue our entrance. With my team behind me, we shared high fives and supportive smiles before stepping into the spotlight. As Dr. Anton Armstrong conducted us with his sweeping gestures, we were enveloped in the power of our music. Each note was part of a collective story, and as we reached the final chord, tears welled up in my eyes. I wished that moment could extend indefinitely, embracing the audience’s standing ovation and the profound connection we had created.

Reflecting on some of my pivotal moments, I realize that the adrenaline I felt as a kid wasn’t just about the thrill of performance; it was about the sense of community and the joy of telling a story that makes a difference. This insight has guided my professional journey, leading me to my role at The Social Collective. Here, I harness my background in performing, storytelling, social media, and science to craft compelling narratives that captivate and engage.

The thrill of capturing a moment was indescribable during the “Worth the Fight” documentary project, where I served as Director of Photography in Spring 2022. As we ventured through Ecuador, Jordan, and The Czech Republic, each moment I was able to shoot felt like stepping into a new world, full of vibrant stories and raw truths about global democracy. With a camera in hand, I wasn’t just capturing images; I was beginning a narrative that would endure long beyond our time together. Each frame was a testament to the powerful connection between storytelling and audience impact. When the final cut was completed, our crew felt a profound sense of fulfillment, knowing that our work would continue to resonate and inspire long after our time together had ended.
