A well-planned photoshoot can set you up with a month's worth of content or more.

Here are our top tips:

📸 Print a photo and media checklist. Go through your website and see what photos it needs. Think about what you want to post on your social channels. Get fresh headshots. Take pictures of props and flat lays.

📱 Set up your phone to capture the whole thing in a timelapse. We love the Hyperlapse app for this.

✋ If you can, have an extra set of hands. One person can hold that ring light in the perfect spot while the other one takes all the pictures.

🔦 Get your equipment, props, and outfits ready.

This is exactly what we do when we go out to meet clients for photoshoots.

What about equipment?

Here’s the equipment we like:

Ring Light

Box Lights - I’ve had these for over five years and they are still in fantastic shape.

Backdrop

Tripod - Whatever tripod you use, try to set it up so it can also hold your phone.

Make sure to also include the props and outfits that make sense for your brand and photoshoot goals.

Final tip:

Include the short-form video (Reels & TikToks) content you want to get in your shoot list. Batching these videos makes posting them to your channels so much easier.
